Dear KCHS Families,

It is hard to believe that October is here and the end of Quarter 1 is almost upon us (this Friday).  I know that our students, staff, and most likely our parents too, are looking forward to a full week off for fall break. The last week for any quarter can be a stressful time as teachers are squeezing in those last-minute tests or other assessments before the end of the quarter. I am continually amazed at how much our students are balancing in their lives with school work, co-curricular activities, service, outside jobs, etc. My prayer for each of them is that they can find a sense of peace and joy in all that they do, along with a true sense of comfort rooted in the knowledge that God loves them very much and that He is with them always.

As a reminder to all of our families, quarter grades do NOT show up on our transcripts. Only semester grades do which are calculated with the following  percentages:

Q1 – 42.5%,

Q2 – 42.5%,

Semester Exam – 15%
