Robocamp: Lego® Mindstorm

LegoRobot

June 10 – June 14, 9:00 am to 2:00 pm
Rising 6th through Rising 9th grades
$250 per camper, $275 after May 1
Director: Douglas Parris (KCHS Faculty, FIRST® Mentor)
Campers will work in small teams to design, build, program, and test autonomous robots using the LEGO® Mindstorm Invention System.  Under the supervision of FIRST Robotics Competition volunteers, campers will build science, engineering and technology skills, that inspire innovation, and that foster well-rounded life capabilities including self-confidence, communication, and leadership.

Sports Camps

25th Annual Basketball Camp – Boys

May 29 – May 31
Ages 8 to 10: 9:00 to 11:30 am
Ages 11 to Rising 9th Grade: 12:30 to 3:00 pm
$100 per camper (family pricing available)
Learn the fundamentals of basketball from KCHS Head Coach Mike Hutchens, his staff, and players.  Boys will learn the following skills: defensive footwork, team rotation, box-out techniques, shooting, passing, catching, dribbling, moving without the ball, and attitude.

Baseball Camp 

June 3 – June 6, 9:00 to 11:30 am (8:30 am registration on June 3)
Rising 3rd through Rising 9th Grade
$90 per camper
Learn the fundamentals of baseball – or fine tune skills – with KCHS Head Coach Adam Sullivan, his staff, and players.

Football Camp 

July 11 – July 13, 8:00 to 11:30 am
Rising 1st through 8th grade – Boys and Girls Welcome
$100 per camper (family pricing available)
Learn the fundamentals of Football from KCHS Head Football Coach Steve Matthews, his staff, and players.  Also attending…current Minnesota Viking and former University of Notre Dame and Knoxville Catholic Football Player, Harrison Smith! Campers will learn basic fundamentals of football, along with speed and agility drills, and all aspects of being successful on the field. Each camper receives t-shirt.

Volleyball Camps – Girls

Fundamentals
June 13 & 14, 9:00 am to 4:00 pm
Age 10 through high school
$100 per camper
This camp will emphasize fundamental skills for the following skills: passing, setting, hitting, individual defense, and serving.  Ages for campers range from 10 years of age to high school.  Younger campers may attend with permission from the camp director.

Setters
July 26 (6:00 to 9:00 pm), July 27 (9:00 am to 4:00 pm), and July 28 (2:00 to 5:00 pm)
Age 10 through high school
$125 per camper
This setter camp will emphasize fundamental to advanced setting skills/techniques.  Basic hand position to basic footwork will be introduced.  As the camp progresses intermediate and advanced drills will be added.

Hitters
July 27, 9:00 am to 4:00 pm
Age 10 through high school (varsity players highly recommended)
$65 per camper
This hitter camp will emphasize the fundamentals of hitting with a progression toward advanced techniques.  As the day progresses the hitters will work with the setters at the setter camp.  Emphasis will be on footwork, arm swings, approaches and various shots.

Online Registration

Note: If a player would like to do a combination of the setter and the hitter camp they may do so.  They would do setting on Friday and Sunday, and work with the hitting coaches on Saturday.  The cost of the combination camp is $125.  Campers will need to bring their own lunch.
