Dear KCHS Families:

As we approach Thanksgiving, we have so much to be grateful for at KCHS. A special thanks goes out to our students, parents, teachers, staff and all those folks who make Catholic High such a great place to be. So, thank you!

Requiem Latin Mass – As we pray for the repose of the souls of our beloved dead this month, an extraordinary form Requiem Latin Mass will be offered for the faithful departed from KCHS at the beginning of lunch this Friday, November 17, in Holy Trinity Chapel. May they rest in peace.

KCHS Placement Tests – 8th grade students applying for admission to Knoxville Catholic High School must take a placement test. This test enables us to determine a student’s placement in Knoxville Catholic’s academic program. The placement tests will be held Saturday, December 2, 2017 (the make-up test date will be January 20, 2018). Pre-registration is required, and can be completed online at http://www.knoxvillecatholic.com/admissions/placement/ Please contact the Admissions Office at (865) 560-0502 or joni.punch@knoxvillecatholic.com with any questions.

2018-19 Tuition Support Information – Information, in both English and Spanish, is now available for those Catholic families that would like to apply for tuition support for the 2018-2019 school year. The deadline for the first round of tuition support is Friday, December 15, 2017. Please make every effort to meet this deadline, as there are not as many funds available for those who miss this deadline. Please use the following link to access the forms needed for next year, http://www.knoxvillecatholic.com/admissions/apply/

Round Three State Football Play-off Tickets – Tickets for the game at Oak Ridge High School will be pre-sold the All Sports Complex ticket gate on Friday, November 17, from 8:00-11:00 a.m. Admission is $8 for students, adults and children. Kick-off is at 7:00 p.m. Go Irish!

KCHS Robotics STEM Night – KCHS Robotics hosted a STEM Night featuring an All-You-Can-Eat Spaghetti Dinner, on Thursday, November 9, and served over 200 plates of food. There was an impressive turnout for the event and fundraising was very successful. Special thanks to all those who made this night possible.

Junior Guidance Night: Save the Date: 1/18/18 – Junior parents and students, mark your calendars for KCHS’s Junior Guidance Night on 1/18/18. We have a fantastic group of college representatives arriving to talk with you about various topics related to the college application and financial aid process. Representatives from University of Alabama, University of Tennessee at Knoxville, Military Academies, Rhodes College, University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, Maryville College, TN Tech, Pellissippi, and more will be here to present. Our approach to this night is unique. Rather than having one big presentation, we offer three, 30-minute sessions, so your family can pick the three topics that interest you most. D&B’s Hotdogs Food Truck will be here before (5:00-6:00 p.m.), so come early and get settled in for a great night to learn the information you need to head into the college search and application process with confidence. Registration opens at 5:30 and the first session begins at 6:15. Check out a trailer for the event here: https://youtu.be/LGR9f75PyXA
