The Fighting Irish Football Team was undefeated in the regular season and clinched their third region title since moving to the very competitive 3A - public school division three years ago. The offense was led by two year starter, Eric Lindsey at quarterback, and a deep supporting cast around him. Running backs Zach Vann and Matt Pfleger combined for a potent rushing attack, while receivers Ryan Walden and Mark David Kennedy opened up the passing game. Of course, the team’s offensive line play was critical to the success of the team.
On the defensive side the team dominated their opponents, giving up an average of only 9 points a game. Jon Woods, Dustin Tait, Jacob Giles, and Michael Robins are just a few of many seniors that have provided great leadership.
The JV and Freshman Teams also dominated their opponents this year. They are a great complement to the varsity and indicative of the overall strength of the football program at KCHS.
