The KCHS cross country runners started strong and look forward to continued success throughout the season. The girls’ team finished first in the Western Carolina Invitational, with Megan Ferowich finishing first and Joanna Thompson second. Elyse Eilerman (7th) and Stephanie Windle (12th) also had impressive races, helping the team secure the top prize. The boys’ team took second place with great runs from Austin Zinkle (7th), Patrick Connelly (10th), Kevin Rumboldt (11th), and Dave Sturchio (12th).
The girls had a fantastic race at the Tennessee Classic, finishing first out of 46 teams. The boys’ team battled illness, but they fought hard to finish an impressive tenth out of 51 teams.
