Knoxville Catholic High School admits qualified candidates, as space permits, without regards to race, creed, color or national origin.

Admissions Information Meeting:

Sunday, November 7, 2010 at 2:00 p.m.

Plan on attending this meeting, held in the KCHS Gymnasium, to:

  • Review the Admissions process and receive application materials
  • Tour the Campus
  • Learn about extracurricular activities at KCHS
  • Meet Department Chairs and Coaches
  • Reserve a spot for the Placement Test (December 4, 2010)

Admissions Placement Test:

Saturday, December 4, 2010 at 8:00 a.m.

All eighth graders interested in attending Knoxville Catholic High School are required to take a placement test administered by KCHS. Test results, along with eighth grade teacher recommendations, will be used to determine Freshmen course selections.

The High School Placement Test from Scholastic Testing Services will be given on Saturday, December 4, 2010. Testing begins at 8:00 AM at Knoxville Catholic High School (report to the main commons area).

Students will need to bring $25 (cash or check payable to KCHS) and two #2 pencils.

Calculators may NOT be used on this test.

A snack will be provided mid-morning.

Freshmen
Knoxville Catholic High School will provide application materials to any interested eighth grade student. To be considered for admission submit the following by February 15:

  • Completed Application Form
  • $100 Non-refundable Application Fee
  • State of Tennessee Immunization Record
  • Signed Request for Records Form
  • Most Recent Special Needs Test Results (if applicable)
  • Two letters of recommendation from current coaches, teachers or pastor (non-feeder school applicants only)
  • 8th Grade Student Profile (completed by 8th grade teacher or counselor)

Discipline and attendance records will be reviewed and factor in the acceptance decision.

Late applications to the freshman class will be accepted as space permits. The late application fee is $150. No students will be admitted after a semester has been in session for two weeks.

Upper Class Transfers (Sophomore, Junior and Senior)
Application materials will be provided for any upperclassman interested in continuing their secondary education at KCHS. To be considered for admission submit the following:

  • Completed Application Form
  • $200 Non-refundable Application Fee
  • State of Tennessee Immunization Record
  • Signed Request for Records Form
  • Most Recent Special Needs Test Results (if applicable)
  • Letter from your current school indicating standing in academics, discipline and attendance

All transfer students must have earned sufficient credits to enter KCHS “on grade”. Students from a block scheduling system may not transfer mid-year.

Transfer students are generally not accepted for the senior year, but will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Transfer students will not be admitted after a semester has been in session for two weeks.
