Sophomores and Juniors

Mrs. Kat Coy, School Counselor

kcoy@knoxvillecatholic.com

Sophomore year counseling concentrates on career exploration. Mrs. Kat Coy visits all sophomore English classes during the first semester to lead discussions on careers, majors, and college admissions. All sophomores should be registered on Naviance, a website that allows students and families to investigate, research, track, and plan for the college admissions process. Through Naviance students have access to a resumé builder, career interest inventory, and college information. Sophomores should be concentrating on academics and extracurricular activities to enhance their high school resumé.

Juniors are in the “drive toward college.” Mrs. Coy meets with all juniors individually in the fall semester to discuss exploring colleges, the admissions process, and standardized testing.
