ABOUT KCHS : SCHOOL DEMOGRAPHICS

Knoxville Catholic High School
is a co-educational secondary school operated under the supervision of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Knoxville. We offer a diverse academic program, complemented by an exceptional co-curriculum of fine arts, athletics and campus ministry.

Our quality Catholic education is designed to allow students to develop to their fullest potential in mind, body and spirit.

Experienced and innovative teachers inspire students through both independent and collaborative learning so they may develop the analytical thinking, creativity and strong moral code needed for a lifetime of personal growth and success.

The enrollment for 2006-2007 was 602 students in grades 9 through 12 with a student/teacher ratio of 14:1. Four Catholic elementary schools - Sacred Heart Cathedral, St. John Neumann, St. Joseph, and St. Mary’s of Oak Ridge - are our “feeder” schools.

KCHS serves a 10 county region in East Tennessee. The school admits qualified candidates, as space permits, without regard to race, sex, creed, color, religion or national origin. The religious affiliation of the majority of our students has been and continues to be Catholic.
